ProgramPrep
Educational Services
ProgramPrep is a one-on-one tutoring service that customizes content to the needs of the client. Our aim is to assist the individual university student and resident whose goal is to successfully finish advanced practice nursing training, certification, and licensure exams.
What sets ProgramPrep apart is the one-on-one instruction, the emphasis on concepts rather than memorization, and training of strategies to address the stress and anxiety that typically exists in these intense academic settings.
Our Team
Since 2018, ProgramPrep faculty have assisted more than 500 students and residents with their success in their academic programs and passing their certification and licensure exams.

Michael Storm, DNAP, CRNA
Michael graduated from anesthesia school in 2005 and immediately joined the staff at a level 1 trauma center in Columbia, SC.
In 2006 he and his two study mates from anesthesia school started a teaching business, Nurse Anesthesia Review Course 4U, because they felt there was a need for more review courses than was available at that time. In 2013 Michael started Storm Anesthesia to continue his passion for teaching and writing.
In 2020 Michael decided to extend his writing and teaching skills to CRNAs in need for continuing education, and in 2021 he launched recertCRNA with the goal of becoming the premier continuing education website for CRNAs. Michael has now partnered with Matthew Zinder in helping struggling nurse anesthesia residents succeed in becoming the best possible CRNAs.
When you will not find Michael in front of his computer he can often be found sailing on Lake Murray with his wonderful wife Annette. His love of the outdoors also brings him to the ski-slopes in the Rockies or in Europe. For more information on Michael, click here.

Annette Storm, MNA, CRNA
Annette Storm, MNA, CRNA has been a CRNA for 12 years and has been teaching for Storm Anesthesia since 2013 when the company launched. Annette's expertise is within cardiac and electrophysiology.
Annette became an RN in Denmark in 1987 and in 1990 decided to explore nursing in the US. She convinced her boyfriend, Michael, to come along, so they would not one day be sitting in a rocking chair and wonder what if?
Annette is a very strong patient advocate and did not see herself become a CRNA when Michael decided to go back to school. No, she liked her bedside patients. Well, the best plan sometimes changes and Annette obtained her BSN in 2008 and became a CRNA in 2012. And not just graduated, but graduated with the program's highest honor, the Agatha Hodgins Award for Clinical and Academic Excellence.
Annette enjoys her garden, although, she can often be seen sailing on Lake Murray, skiing in the Alps with family, hiking in the mountains, or just laying on the beach.
Annette enjoys the outdoors! For more information on Annette, click here.
Testimonials
With the help of the tutors, I passed the SEE benchmark and eventually went on to pass the NCE all within three months after graduation. If I could go back and tell myself anything, it would be to start using the tutoring service sooner. I wish I had started working with the program after my first SEE attempt. Both the SEE and the NCE are such humbling exams, and you don't have to do it alone. I would highly recommend reaching out and using this program! My only regret is not reaching out sooner!

Michael and Annette helped form a study guide for me and allowed me to make the decisions on when I needed more or less time on a subject. They provided wonderful guidance and they believed in my ability to succeed. I took three months with them to go over the material and felt much more confident in going to sit down for the NCE for my fourth attempt.
I took my time on each question like we planned and I took my breaks like we planned. I was answering my 100th question and going to take a break when my exam ended. I had felt this feeling before and felt cautiously optimistic. This was either really good or really bad. I jumped for joy when I opened my paper to see PASS. I had kicked this exam's behind this time.

Feeling defeated, depressed and embarrassed, part of the program incorporates stress management and meditation. I had no idea how much this part would help the anxiety of taking the NCE again. This is when I was introduced to Matt, he helps guide you through the experience with teaching these techniques. They were available anytime of the day I needed them, despite living in different time zones. Every time I encountered a moment of weakness or feeling of defeat, They always redirected me and got me re-focused.
I started the program May 5th, taking over 60 practice exams, and took boards June 7th. In just a month I was over prepared didactically and mentally. I went from failing in 100 questions to passing in 100 questions. Tears poured when I saw the four letters I wanted to see this whole time, “PASS”.
